Michael Melkonian went 17 of 17 at the faceoff X, Michael Aiello had three goals and four assists, and Cullen Lynch added five goals and an assist for South Side (15-1). For Melkonian, the 17 faceoff wins pushed his career faceoff win total past the 500 mark. The Cyclones will play #5 Carey in the semifinals at Hofstra on Tuesday, May 21st. Game time is 4:00 pm. #2 Garden City 17, #7 Mepham 2
The Trojans had eleven different goal scorers in the quarterfinal win over Mepham. Eighth-grader Ben Smith scored four goals and Carson Kraus had two goals and three assists for Garden City (15-2). Garden City, who won their 12th straight game, will meet Manhasset in the semifinals on Tuesday, May 21st at 2:00 pm at Hofstra. Mepham finished the season at 11-6.   [ BOX SCORE] 

#3 Manhasset 9, #6 Roslyn 7
With the score tied at 7 at the end of the third quarter, Manhasset (11-6) scored the final two goals of the game to defeat Roslyn, 9-7. With the win, Manhasset advances to the semifinals and will play Garden City, in a rematch of the Woodstick Classic that was won by the Trojans earlier this season. Roslyn (11-6) was led by freshman Gavin Ryback who scored three goals.  [ BOX SCORE] 

#5 Carey 7, #4 Calhoun 6 OT
Carey upset Calhoun in overtime, avenging an earlier season loss to the Colts. Chris Obertis (2g-1a) and Jayden Radow (2g) were the high scorers for Carey (12-5) and Rich Metzger made 12 saves to earn the win in goal. Calhoun (15-2) was led by Harley Finkelstein who scored three goals and added an assist. The Seahwaks will play top seeded South Side in the Class B semifinals on Tuesday, May 21st.   [ BOX SCORE]
