Massapequa Over Farmingdale; South Side Defeats Wantagh in Two Overtimes

Massapequa 11, Farmingdale 6
Massapequa outscored Farmingdale 7-2 in the second half to earn the victory in League 1. Senior Matt Pettis led the Chiefs with four goals and two assists who improved to 9-3 overall. The Dalers (6-6) had a 4-2 lead in the second quarter before Massapequa tied the score before halftime. Nolan Wieczorek added two goals and an assist and Braden Tucker scored twice for the Chiefs, who also received some strong second half goaltending from Michael Jannotte (13 saves). Dean Kott led Farmingdale with two goals and an assist. [ BOX SCORE] 

South Side 13, Wantagh 12  2OT
Down 11-6 going into the fourth quarter, South Side outscored Wantagh 6-2 in the final period to force overtime. In the second four minute overtime period Cullen Lynch (four goals) scored an unassisted goal to win the game for the Cyclones (9-3). A trio of sophomores had big games for South Side.  Luke Mullen had five goals and an assist, Alec Notaro won 24 of 27 faceoffs and goalie Jack DiSarlo made15 saves. Devin Paccione had three goals and an assist, Joe Nicholson scored four times, and Gianni Passaro made 22 saves for the Warriors (8-4).  [ BOX SCORE] 

Friends Academy 12, Oyster Bay 0
Brett Cohen made seven saves to earn the shutout for Friends Academy (11-1) in League 3. John Tsioulias had four goals and Ted Kenny won 10 of 16 faceoffs for the Quakers. Oyster Bay is 6-5.  [ BOX SCORE] 

Lynbrook 10, MacArthur 9 
Eddie Stradowski scored the game winning goal on a pass from Jack LaBarbera (3g-1a) with 3:11 left to play to win the game for Lynbrook (10-2). Luca Palleschi made one of his 13 saves to secure the win with under a minute to play for the Owls. Luke Dantona led the scoring for Lynbrook with two goals and four assists. Caden Cullen made 15 saves for the Generals (8-4) who received a goal and three assists from freshman Dylan Shanahan.  [ BOX SCORE] 

Port Washington 6, Syosset 2
Port Washington limited Syosset to 25 shots in a 6-2 League 1 victory. Max Eynon made 14 saves and Griffin Marvin won four of six faceoffs for the Vikings (10-2). Josh Weisenfeld made 11 saves in goal for Syosset (5-7). [ BOX SCORE] 

Oceanside 10, Roslyn 8 
Sam Feldbaum made 13 saves to help Oceanside rally from a 5-0 first quarter deficit and defeat Roslyn in League 1. Jack Passuello led the Sailors (6-5) with three goals and three assists and teammate Andrew Dato added three assists. Jake Kenyon led Roslyn (5-7) with three goals and Ethan Goldberg won 16 of 22 faceoffs.  [ BOX SCORE]
