Historical Notes: Junior attackman Matt Gavin picked up a loose ball in front of the crease and scored with 0.05 seconds left to give Manhasset a 10-9 victory over Yorktown (Section I) in the NYS Class B semifinals. The Indians led 9-7 but Yorktown tied the game with with 0:26 seconds left to play. It was the second game-winning goal in as many games for Gavin, who scored the game-winner against Mt. Sinai just days earlier.
