Historical Notes:Top-seeded Garden City defeated #3 seed Wantagh, 14-1, in the Nassau Class B championship at Hofstra's Shuart Stadium. It was the seventh straight county title and 18th overall for the Trojans who remained undefeated at 19-0. Dan Marino made seven saves for Garden City, who shut out Wantagh for more than 43 minutes until Matt Balzano scored the lone goal for Wantagh with 4:39 to play.
