Friday, May 9th: Bethpage Upsets Cold Spring Harbor, Farmingdale Tops Port Washington

Bethpage 9, Cold Spring Harbor 7
Joey Traversa made 13 saves and defenseman Luke Waxer scored two goals to lead Bethpage over Cold Spring Harbor. The Golden Eagles limited the Seahawks to only three goals over the first three quarters en route to winning their fifth game in a row. Chase Solliday added two goals for Bethpage, who defeated Cold Spring Harbor for the first time since 2004. Both teams are now 8-6.  [ BOX SCORE]

Farmingdale 8, Port Washington 6 
Juniors Sean Schumeyer (four goals, one assist) and Josh Kama combined for seven goals to lead Farmingdale (8-6) over host Port Washington. Matt Hughes made 10 saves for Farmingdale, who have won five straight games against the Vikings (11-3) and lead the all-time series 52-14. [ BOX SCORE]
