The NCLCA mourns the passing of longtime Bethpage coach Erwin Dill. Dill was a fixture in Bethpage High School athletics, coaching both the football and lacrosse teams for decades. He was the head coach of the lacrosse team from 1997 to 2014, retiring with a record of 205 wins and 78 losses. He coached numerous legendary Golden Eagle players including Brandon Testa '97 and Matt Rekowski '01. 
Dill served as an assistant in lacrosse for several outstanding coaches including Gordon Hodgson and Jim Amen, Jr. In 1996, he helped Bethpage win their only state championship in lacrosse, assisting Amen in his final season at the helm.
