South Side 13, Syosset 12
In the game of the day, South Side completed an epic comback to defeat Syosset, 13-12. Down 12-5 in the fourth quarter, the Cyclones scored eight straight goals, punctuated by sophomore Luke Mullin's game-winner with six seconds left. JJ Hawthorne scored four goals and had two assists and Tyler Sumrani added three goals and one assist for South Side (8-3). Cyclone sophomore Alex Notaro won 8 of 11 four quarter faceoffs and 18 of 27 overall. Syosset (5-6) was led by Giovanni Accardo with two goals and two assists and Brody Waxer with a goal and three assists. The win was the fourth in a row for South Side over Syosset. ( [ BOX SCORE]

Edwin Serpas had four goals and one assist and Jerry Lin had three goals and three assists for Great Neck South...sophomore Chase Rivas had two goals and seven assists for Hewlett...Collin Hoisik (3g-3a) had six points for Wheatley-Carle Place... Josh Bonfanti scored four times and added an assist for Mineola...Chase Solliday had four assists and Anthony Guarasci scored three goals for Bethpage...seniors Brendan Dalton (2g-3a) and Michael Gilbert (4g-1a) were the high scorers for Hicksville...Noah Garner had four goals and an assist for East Meadow...Kayden Nuzzi  had seven points (3g-4a) and Brendan Rooney had eight (7g-1a) for West Hempstead...Nelson Alvarez had three assists for Hempstead...Alex Lugo had a goal and five assists for New Hyde Park...Daniel Perlman scored four times and added an assist for Great Neck North.

Stoppers
Daniel Lankri had 24 saves for Hewlett. He leads Nassau with 183 saves this spring and has made 675 in his four-year career...Brian Scheidt had 19 saves for Great Neck North...O'Neil Rose had a dozen saves for Hempstead...Jackson Reger made 14 saves for East Meadow...Griffin Pinter made 23 saves for North Shore. The senior now has 311 career saves to his credit...Will Massaro made 15 saves for Mineola...Junior Roberts made 13 saves for Valley Stream. 

Faceoff Winners
Ted Kenny won 18 of 22 faceoffs for Friends Academy...Leo Cataldo won 9 of 15 for Bethpage...Brendan Rooney won 9 of 12 draws for New Hyde Park.

News and Notes
Friends Academy has now won ten straight games, and are tied with New Hyde Park for the longest streak in Nassau this year. The Gladiators as still undefeated at 10-0...Great Neck South has defeated Valley Stream on seven diffferent occasions dating back to 2001...Bethpage has now won five in a row against North Shore and leads the all-time series 22-7...despite today's loss, Hicksville still leads the all-time series against East Meadow 33-23 dating back to 1963.
